While some may think competition interferes with a relationship, here are four couples who show that love and championships can indeed go hand-in-hand. Originally posted on YourTango.com.
1. Heather Mitts & A.J. Feeley
One gorgeous athlete attracts another gorgeous athlete and they live happily ever after? That seems to be how it worked for Olympic soccer player, Heather Mitts and her husband, NFL St. Louis Rams quarterback A.J. Feeley, who were married in 2010. In 2004, she was voted ESPN's Hottest Female Athlete, and a year later, she appeared in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition. She's a two-time Olympic gold medalist and played four matches in the 2011 World Cup.

2. Russell & Lauryn Mark
Australian Shooters Russell and Lauryn Mark have been making headlines recently as they are heading to the Olympics together, but apparently in separate rooms. The two—who married in 2004—were told they are not allowed to room together, while many same-sex couples are allowed to. Russell has two Olympic medals and two Commonwealth Games' medals; Lauryn has four Commonwealth Games' medals.
3. Andrew & Bettina Hoy
Andrew and Bettina Hoy were the first married couple to go head-to-head for the same medals in the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Andrew is from Australia, while Bettina is from Germany, both are Olympic equestrians. The two met at the 1984 Olympics, then again at the 1996 Games. Married in 2001, the couple is supportive of one another, even when competing. "Bettina's win is my win, and my win is her win," Andrew has said.

4. Sanya Richards & Aaron Ross
Aaron Ross may have two NFL Super Bowl rings, but wife Sanya Richards-Ross has eight championship medals and three Olympic medals. But it's not about competition with these two. Ross, who played cornerback for the NY Giants until March when he was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, stands by his track-and-field 400-meter star wife. The two dated in college at the University of Texas at Austin, and were married in 2010. The athletes' wedding was shown on WE TV's Platinum Weddings.

Who are your favorite Olympic competitors this year?
I am sure there are hundreds more. The dedication to go to the Olympics as a couple and support one another has to be complete insanity!
