DINKs are one of the fastest growing demographics in America... which means we are everywhere, including pop culture. Here’s a breakdown of our favorite celebrity DINK couples.
Prince William and Kate Middleton
Ever since the Royal Wedding (and for years leading up to it) Prince William and Kate Middleton have topped our list of favorite celebrity couples. While their source of income puts the DINK title to the test, they still live the DINKlife to its fullest, enjoying life’s luxuries, lots of travel, and the independence that comes from being an adult twosome. Even so, one could say they are pretty busy with their day jobs. Her Royal Highness upgraded her job as a website designer and photographer to a full-time position as a royal princess. And William, who’s already accustomed to working for the royal family, also daylights as an RAF pilot. Sources say the couple is expected to start a family quickly – tradition, and pressure to pass on the royal bloodline likely to blame –which means they may not be DINKs for very much longer. But for now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will royally reign as our favorite DINKs.

She’s a bona fide superstar on the stage and the big screen. He’s one of the most financially successful hip-hop artists and entrepreneurs in America. This celebrity duo earned an astounding $122 million in 2009, which landed them in the 2011 Guinness Book of World Records for "highest-earning power couple." And when they’re not winning Grammys, going to Nets games (the basketball team partly owned by Jay Z), or dazzling on the red carpet, they are clearly crazy in love with one another. We love that.

The world has loved Katy Perry ever since she kissed a girl. And Russell’s British brand of humor and eccentricity is right up our alley. So when these celebrities tied the knot in 2010, we all got a kick out of the quirky combo. She’s currently traveling the world on her California Dreams tour, and he’s been busy promoting his latest Hollywood flick, Arthur. But no matter how fast paced their lives are, these DINKs still keep it real, saying that their marriage is built on trust.

We’ve loved Pippa from the moment she stepped out in her white satin Alexander McQueen maid of honor dress at the Royal Wedding of sis Kate Middleton to Prince William. But to the dismay of single men around the world, and many members of the Pippa Middleton Ass Appreciation Society, Pippa is a DINK! The party planner-turned international celebrity is paired with Alex Loudon, a financial trader and former cricket player.

We know, we know. For all intents and purposes, Jennifer is currently a SINK (single income no kids). But this former ‘Friends’ star, like many DINKs, has consciously postponed having children in the name of her successful career. And she’s super down to earth and does yoga. We can’t help it if we identify with her! So whether her partner is Brad Pitt, John Mayer, Vince Vaughn, or a pizza delivery guy, Jennifer Aniston and her plus one will always be among our favorite DINKs.

Allow us to introduce the ultimate DINK power couple (though it’s pretty apparent who actually wears the pants in this partnership). Oprah is of course an Emmy Award-winning television host, actress, producer, philanthropist, author, magazine mogul, TV network owner, cultural icon and otherwise household name. Her partner Stedman Graham is an educator, author, businessman and speaker. Regardless of the spotlight that has shined over their relationship, the couple’s DINK lifestyle has passed the test of time: They’ve been going strong (and kid free) since 1986.
Oprah has explained that she loves kids, but wouldn’t have achieved all that she has accomplished if she had chosen to have children. So be inspired by what she has done as a DINK to help children globally and read our article on Influencing the Next Generation for some ideas on how you too can contribute.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi. After all, Ellen is the new queen of daytime since Oprah has retired.
Missing from the list: Presidents Madison, Jackson, and Polk, Dr. Suess, Jay Leno, Harry Houdini, Katharine Hepburn...and the list goes on.
