meditation

I've been doing yoga for a few months now and it's made me interested in meditation. I hear the trick to really benefitting is just sticking to it. Any suggestions on how to keep it interesting?

Well, I don't know that it's supposed to be interesting. My advice is to meditate either first thing in the AM or last thing before bed. Focus on the breath. You will lose focus but shift it back to the breath. i highly recommend the books/cds or Dr. Andrew Weil and also Jon Kabbat-Zin.

I have done some meditation with my spiritual work. I found that the easiest way to start is with guided meditations. You can buy CDs etc with other people guiding it. That way you can relax and concentrate on the words rather than trying to do it yourself. Doing it yourself will become easier with practice. Enjoy.

meditation for me has always been sensory perception think. favorite thing to do is meditate in the rain. water is the perfect media to explore your other senses. your skin absorbs water, its used in every cell in your body you sweat out water and exhale water. so sitting there in the rain on a microscopic level every drop of water is flowing thru you........if that doesnt center you i dont know what can
