Do a sunrise excursion in the park! It's the best way to see the lions and other less visible guys at their most active.

how about sleep in a tree house? See 2nd paragraph on Lions Sands Reserve in S.A. Very close to Kruger.

I used to live there. You can book directly into the park using their website. And a lot of the tours and game drives can be organized once you get to camp, so its easy to underplan (my favorite thing). Skukuza is the head camp and the most fascinating for tourist watching, Mopani is the most beautiful, Satara and Berg-En-Dal will get you closest to the elephants and Cape Wild Dogs, and Olifants has the best scenic outlook over the open scrubland. Have a great trip!

We went to Sabi Sands (next to Kruger) and stayed at Exeter Lodge. The room and lodge were amazing and we saw all of the big 5 in one day. Highly recommend.

We drove there from Mozambique and had a great time.

Awesome, we on our way back to Cape Town, South Africa in 3 weeks. Stopping in Germany, France & Switzerland on the way there. Can' t wait to go see the penguins again.

Nice. Must say I'm jealous. This one's been on my list for a while, but haven't been able to convince the S.O.to make the trip...yet.
