No idea here, we're just going to a local restaurant for an afternoon meal (kind of tight on funds, other wise we'd be going back to where we went on our honeymoon - Niagara Falls Canada Side)
My fiance and I were just talking with some family members about our upcoming wedding--or lack thereof. We are eloping next month to avoid the hubbub of a wedding. We suggested that since we won't have a huge celebration to remember, let's get married every year! Every year on our anniversary we are going to get married again, wherever we are.
Make a bet with your partner on anything that you can think of and then who ever wins the bet gets to pick three places that you have to have sex at. Then do that on your anniversary. Pick places that you have to scout for. Like the top of a building or a vineyard.
Nice one Chani! Good idea. This year, for our 17th anniversary we went Kayaking in the mangroves in Florida. Pretty cool! No aligators either!
We enjoy watching the gators every now and then in the swamps here in New Orleans - though not necessarily on an anniversary. We enjoy finding dinner with some live music/jazz and then going for an evening stroll.
bought each other season tickets to the San Francisco 49ers!
The gift that keeps on giving! (unless they lose again...)
We usually plan our annual vacation to fall on our anniversary. It doesn't always work out due to work/money, but if not, we at least try to take a weekend getaway somewhere nearby. We also take turns planning the trip and try to surprise the other person.
Last year our anniversary fell on a vacation, we were driving a rented Hippy van on Highway 1 in California, camping in a redwood forest.
For our anniversary, we booked a couples massage in a town about 2 hrs away from where we were camping, then on the way home we grabbed a bunch of our favorite sea foods and appetizers from the grocery store. Then I cooked them up under the stars over the fire. Good times.
I need an idea for this year though...
Chris.
Try a race like a mud run or warrior Dash event. I finally conceive my husband to an event with me. we are both so busy that often times my husband rather veg on the couch. I am hoping getting in shape for this event will motivate him. Plus it will be something fun for us to do together. I am the athletic one in house besides my cats.
Ours is tomorrow and we like to cook a really nice meal together at home and go out for a fancy dessert afterward.
